Eu acho que esse é um dos melhores bolos pra se comer num fim de tarde com um baita copo de leite (empatado com o bolo de chocolate, claro. O bolo de fubá e o de limão entram na categoria “bolo com chá”). Essa aqui é a minha receita favorita (but you can also try this in english). Todo mundo estranhou o meu bolo de cenoura quando eu fiz aqui na Páscoa (eu também já tinha feito melhores…). Fiquei surpresa. Até que um dia eu vi o Carrot Cake e vi que era uma coisa totalmente diferente do bolo de cenoura. Quando eu provei eu podia sentir os pedacinhos de cenoura, um gostinho de noz moscada, e ele era atolado em cream cheese. Bom também, mas não conseguiu superar o tradicional bolo fofinho (ou meio molhadinho), amarelinho e com a cobertura de chocolate (a melhor parte! E ainda melhor se for brigadeiro).
I think Bolo de Cenoura is one of my favorite cakes to go with a big cup of milk in the afternoon (tied with chocolate cake, obviously. Corn flour cake and Lemon Cake go in the “cake that goes with tea” category). This is my favorite recipe. Everybody thought it was weird that cake I baked on Easter ( and I confess that I already made it better). I was surprised by that. Then one day I “met” the Carrot Cake and realized that was something totally different of the “bolo de cenoura”. When I first tried I could taste the little pieces of carrot and nutmeg, and it was covered by cream cheese. It is good, but it didn’t bit the traditional fluffy (sometimes moisty), yellow with chocolate topping (the best part, and even better if it’s “Brigadeiro“).
